Most people know by now that we are a family who like our traditions. We love having Team Lloyd traditions and we really enjoy the fun family time we get through our traditions – so we find ourselves in December – Christmas is a big deal in our house. I have a full host of emotions that I will be discussing over the coming days. It was Christmas Day last year that Daddy Lloyd and I made the decision that we were “officially trying” for a baby with our Christmas Wish being put down that by next Christmas (this Christmas) we would be opening presents with an extra stocking hanging, and two excited children (Ok so one excited 6 year old and a breastfeeding newborn) sat around our Christmas tree, so the sadness that sits with us daily feels bigger and heavier than ever.
But whilst dealing with the sorrow we are again faced with still putting a brave face on and giving B Lloyd a wonderful Team Lloyd Christmas, and actually in the mix of that comes along a Daddy and Mummy Lloyd tradition.
Yup. We watch a Christmas Movie every night leading up to the big night whilst awaiting his arrival. Now it takes careful precision planning on which movies make the list, there are only 24 nights so anything not up to standard runs the risk of being kicked off the list for the next Christmas Movie Season. Yes it is that epic that it becomes a season, films get added by merit alone, and have to withhold the test of time – timeless classics never get boring, not when we are talking the power of Believing and the Christmas Spirit.
Obviously we start on December 1st – it is officially the first day of christmas after all but this year we delayed by a day as we were still celebrating B Lloyd’s birthday and Christmas only happens once her birthday has been and gone. (The trouble of having a birthday on November 30th) So last night, yup, we double backed two films so we are on track.
We do however have a slight problem this year, as we have added so many movies over the last couple of years we are actually at 35 movies – is it possible? Without further ado I introduce you to the greatest Christmas Movies of all time, and yes it really does matter in what order you watch them!

But we are gonna do it – it’s a challenge we take on every year and this year is no different…so if you don’t hear from us we are not ignoring you we are just ploughing our way through the Christmas Movie Season 2012 to try and find that Christmas Cheer we have always so loved.
