My attention was grabbed this morning by a tweet that started “Calling All Mummy Bloggers”…and a simple click through I discovered a rather awesome competition being held by Mirka Moore over at All Baby Advice and More Well it could not be more up my street right now. It is a £500 Next Gift Card prize if you write a blog and style an outfit using Next clothes in either this seasons Maternity or childrenswear ranges. Well sorry B Lloyd, Mummy Lloyd here needs some new clothes that growing Mini Lloyd can be fitted into!
Needless to say I headed straight over to the Next website and started shopping! Below is a collage of all the lovely items that would make this pregnant lady look rather cool and trendy….
What did I chose…
Posh Pregnant Me would rock
The Black Jumpsuit (Maternity) £38 helping me look smart and professional when I am either nurse working at the Portland Hospital or being business woman extraordiaire for Baby Signing Mummy. It would of course be set off with the Jewel T-Bar Sandals £30 which my mother will approve of as they are a nice sensible flat shoe that I can not harm myself or bump in (unlike those dangerous healed shoes I currently own). I think the outfit would only be complete with the rather fetching Pink and Orange Beaded Clutch Bag £22 (Ok so I am a sucker for cute girly items!) These items can be found on the Next Website here
My alternative Posh Pregnant Me outfit I think gives the air of confident business woman with growing child. Teamed simply with black croup legging (maternity) at a splendid £8 the Print Bow Top (maternity) will be flattering and cooling for the Summer (that will arrive). With the Print Bow Top being just £15 a bargain of a fabulous trendy yet posh pregnant outfit. These items can be found on the Next Website here
Relaxed Pregnant Me would look cool and glowing
The White Butterfly Top (maternity) £14 teamed with the Boy Fit Jeans (Maternity) £30 would give me that Saturday Morning Chillaxed look that I am never quite able to pull off. You know the one where you scoop back your hair into a half up do with pins and have it half falling down around your shoulders, pat and rub your gorgeous growing bump and head out into the nice sunny day with your husband and child? Ok so I am not really a character from an american comedy but I can still dream! The outfit would look ultra comfy with the Pink Spot Lace Up Pumps £20. These items can all be found on the Next Website here
Every pregnant lady needs a few relaxed pregnant me outfits so to team up with those comfy maternity jeans I have chosen Navy and Grey Stripe Cami (maternity) £21 which looks flowing for bump to continue to grow under and cooling for me! Now whilst browsing I couldn’t help but be attracted to the Black Sequin Boobtube £14 Well I have just come back from holiday and I am currently sporting a slight tan so it would be rude not to really wouldn’t it 😉
Swimming Pregnant Me would slide graciously into the pool
We all know the feel of the water over a bump gives a calming relaxed feeling, as well as the added bonus of feeling weightless for a while. I am not a great swimmer but I do adore getting into the water and floating about whilst B Lloyd practices her awesome swimming moves so this rather gorgeous Blue Gathered Tankini £20 has me watering (hehehe pun intended!) at the mouth to get into that pool. Admitting I would rather it be the pool in Tenerife but I am not sure Next are offering that!
So there we have it…dare I add it all up? I have spent £232 which I am hugely impressed with, a total of 6 different outfits (1 is a swimming costume, that counts as an outfit right?) I am currently squeezing into one pair of black leggings that are hurting the whole time I am wearing them, and two tops that I am rotating through the wash as fast as possible. The tops are looking tighter by the day and won’t last much longer. That tweet I saw this morning honestly feels like it was meant for me…so pretty please Next and Mirka Moore choose me as your #NextMummyStylist You will be producing a cool and trendy Next Pregnant Me.
